Facial for Skin Care

A facial is one of the best ways to take care of your skin. A facial cleans, exfoliates and nourishes the skin, giving a clear, well-hydrated complexion, and can help your skin look younger.
Here are the basic steps of a proper facial with a professional.

Initiate with a consultation. Inform your esthetician about your skin concerns, diet, how much water you drink,  and the products you are currently using. This helps the esthetician recommend the appropriate treatment for you.

Begin a facial with a thorough cleansing.

Skin Analysis
The esthetician covers your eyes and looks at your skin through a brightly lit magnifying lamp. Your basic skin type (dry, oily, combination, sensitive or normal) and skin conditions (acne, blackheads, whiteheads, aging, sun-damage, dehydration, etc.) will be determined.

Steam
Most facials use a machine that directs a thin vapor of warm steam to your face. This is relaxing and helps softens up any blackheads and whiteheads to be extracted.

Exfoliation
Mechanical exfoliants have a sandy texture that rubs away the surface dead skin cells.

Extractions
This is the removal of blackheads or whiteheads.

Facial Mask
Targeted to treat your skin type. If you have dry skin, a facial mask will hydrate it.

Final Application
Application of a toner, serums, moisturizer and  a good sunblock.

After a good facial,  you will feel refreshed and your skin will definitely look supple and radiant!
