Glacier national park is a bear country region and it is advisable to bring bear spray and hang bells on your belt or backpack as you hike along the trails. My husband and I would sometimes explore and look for hidden areas not published on the park’s newsletter or maps. We saw an awe-inspiring picture of the Triple falls popularized by the late Galen Rowell and we made it our top priority for our Glacier Summer trip. The location is about a mile away from the Logan pass visitor center, but would require careful hiking along the streams so you wont trample on the fragile alpine fields and beautiful wildflowers. We took a picture of the Triple Falls with the Moonrise and you can see some faint glowing red color because of the numerous wildfires near Montana at that time.
