Nail Colors for the Corporate – The Long and Short of Classic Dark Colors

nails-dark-colors

Wearing a dark polish is a simple way to look classy and put together. The single, most important consideration in sporting a vampy shade at work is nail length.  Nail length does a lot to influence the overall look of the polish.  A dark polish on shorter nails looks effortlessly chic.  I have a lot of dark polish favorites in my nail polish stash.  I like them because under office lighting, it just looks like I have a dark polish on my nails.  On certain angles however, the color offers a flash of shimmer or sparkles without going over the top.

The downside to wearing a dark color is that the slightest chip is easily visible.  This is the reason why I highly encourage keeping polish remover wipes handy.

These pictures showcase my favorite dark polishes.  The swatches were done on long and short nails for reference.
