Little girls in white dresses with angel wings. How can it get any more cute than that?
Traditionally, these angels are seen during the salubong, an Easter Sunday ritual which recreates the imagined first meeting of Jesus and Mary after the resurrection. The event begins with two separate processions which meets at a middle point where children in angel costumes sing the Hallelujah Chorus.
In some parishes, these angels are called again during the misa de gallo (Christmas Eve mass) to either to sing or participate in the Offertory.
